The attached guidance is mot appropriate when documenting the following situations: When students have been previously identified, and we are working to continue providing bilingual or ESL services.

If a parent previously provided permission for a student to participate in a recommended Bilingual/ESL program, the parent can request to change placement. Referent the attached guidelines to ensure that procedures that the decision is made with full understanding of the originally recommended placement benefits and to ensure that the change is documented in PEIMS accurately.

If a student is specifically experiencing a change of placement in order to coordinate the student receiving English Learner and Special Education Services, then utilize the attached guide to document the change placement/program change.
